A demographic append enhances customer or prospect records with additional demographic data points sourced from third-party providers. This data can include age, gender, marital status, income level, education level, presence of children in the household, home ownership status, and other valuable demographic attributes.
An example would be adding age and gender data to existing customer records.
If you have a list of customers’ names and addresses, a demographic append could match those records against a third-party demographic database and append the corresponding age and gender details to each record.
Demographic appends work by leveraging third-party databases containing demographic information. Customer records are matched against these databases using deterministic or probabilistic matching techniques based on identifiers like name and address.
Once a match is found, the corresponding demographic attributes from the third-party data are appended to the customer record.
